Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pentire ("Pentire," "the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the Pentire paint-by-stickers app for iOS and iPadOS. Pentire is published by Solutionflare LLC. We designed Pentire to be private by default: your photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us.
The short version
- Your photos stay on your device. When you import a photo, Pentire converts it into a sticker puzzle entirely on-device. The image is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.
- No account. Pentire does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use the app.
- No analytics. No tracking. No ads. As shipped today, Pentire contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising or attribution SDK of any kind. We don't measure which features you use, we don't build a profile of you, and we never ask for the advertising identifier.
- We don't sell your data. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- It works with the network switched off. Airplane mode changes nothing about creating or playing puzzles.
Where this policy describes what the app does "today" or "as shipped," it describes the current version. We may add optional diagnostics in a future release; if we ever do, we'll update this policy and Pentire's App Store privacy labels before that version ships, and it will never include your photos. See Changes to this policy.
Photos and on-device processing
The core feature of Pentire is turning a picture into a sticker puzzle. When you choose to import a photo:
- iOS asks for your permission to access photos. You can grant full access or limited ("Selected Photos") access. Pentire only reads the specific image you select.
- The image is analyzed and cut into sticker pieces using on-device processing on your iPhone or iPad. This computation happens locally; the photo is not transmitted off your device.
- The resulting puzzle and any imported image are stored locally in the app's storage on your device. Deleting the puzzle or the app removes them.
Because this processing is on-device, importing and playing puzzles works without an internet connection and does not depend on any cloud service of ours.
No analytics, no tracking, no ads
This deserves its own section, because most free games are the opposite. As shipped today, Pentire contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising or attribution SDK. There is no event logging, no session tracking, no funnel measurement, and no third-party tag of any kind compiled into the app.
Concretely, that means:
- We do not know which puzzles you play, which features you use, how long you play, or whether you finished.
- We do not receive crash reports from your device. Apple may show us anonymous, aggregated crash and energy data in App Store Connect — that is a report from Apple about the app, not a data feed from your device to us, and you control it in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
- Pentire never requests the IDFA (advertising identifier), so you will never see an App Tracking Transparency prompt from us. Pentire's privacy manifest declares tracking as false, with no tracking domains.
- Pentire contains no ads, no ad SDK, no sponsored content, and no cross-app profiling.
The only third-party code in the app is RevenueCat, which exists solely to validate App Store purchases (see below).
We reserve the right to add limited, privacy-respecting diagnostics in a future release — for example anonymous, aggregated crash or performance data to help us fix bugs. We are not doing that today. If we ever do, we will update this policy and Pentire's App Store privacy labels before that version ships, it will never include your photos or your puzzles, we will not use it for advertising or tracking, and we will not sell it. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it.
Every network request Pentire makes
Rather than describe this in general terms, here is the complete list for the current version. Pentire makes exactly two kinds of outbound request, and neither one carries your photos, your progress, or an identifier you can be recognised by:
- One anonymous configuration check, on launch. The app downloads a single small, static, encrypted settings file from this website. It is a plain download of the same file every install receives — no query parameters, no account, no device identifier, nothing about you in the request. Its purpose is operational: it lets us turn a feature off or post a notice without shipping an app update. If it fails, or you are offline, Pentire carries on with its built-in defaults.
- Purchase validation, only if you buy something. If you purchase Pentire Plus, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat validates the receipt so your purchase can be restored on your other devices. RevenueCat receives the App Store receipt and subscription status under a random, app-generated identifier. It never receives your name, email address, or photos, and we never receive your payment details such as card numbers.
That is the entire list as of the current version. There is no other server call, and there is no Pentire account server or backend at all — the "settings file" above is a static file on a web host, not a service that logs you in. Everything else, including all photo processing, art generation, saved puzzles and progress, happens on your device. If a future release adds a network feature, this section and Pentire's App Store privacy labels will be updated to describe it.
Information we collect
Pentire is built to function with essentially no personal data. In the current version, this is all of it:
- Purchase information. If you buy the optional Pentire Plus upgrade, purchase receipts and subscription status are processed as described above, tied to a random, app-generated identifier. This is the only data category Pentire declares as collected on its App Store privacy label, it is used only to unlock what you paid for, and it is not used for tracking.
- Support correspondence. If you email us, we receive your message and whatever you choose to include. When you start that email from inside the app, Pentire pre-fills a short diagnostics footer — app version and build, iOS version, device model, and locale — below a marker line, so you can read it and delete it before you send. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
We do not collect your photos, your puzzles or progress, your contacts, your location, your device's advertising identifier, or usage analytics, and we do not build advertising profiles.
What stays on your device
All of the following is stored locally, in Pentire's own app storage and app preferences, and is never transmitted to us: imported photos and the puzzles cut from them, generated art, your saved "Yours" library, per-puzzle progress for every difficulty and cut, your settings (sound, haptics, reference options), your chosen color theme, your day streak and Shields, and your Sticker Hop high score. In the current version Pentire does not sync any of it — not to iCloud, not to us — so it lives on that device only.
Notifications
Pentire has two optional notifications: a daily "Today's puzzle is ready" reminder at a time you pick, and a streak warning that fires only on a day your streak would otherwise end. Both are completely silent unless you grant notification permission, which Pentire requests only when you tap a notification control — never automatically. Both are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. There is no push server, we do not receive a push token, and we cannot tell whether you enabled them, saw them, or tapped them. Turning the toggles off, or revoking notification permission in iOS Settings, removes them.
How we use information
- To unlock and restore an optional purchase you made.
- To respond to your support requests.
Third-party services
Pentire relies on Apple's App Store for distribution and payment processing, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy. Optional Pentire Plus purchases are validated by RevenueCat, which processes purchase receipts and subscription status on our behalf under a random, app-generated identifier and does not receive your photos, name, or contact details. That is the only third-party service in the app: no analytics provider, no crash-reporting provider, no advertising network, and no third-party trackers.
Children's privacy
Pentire is a general-audience app, rated 4+, and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app requires no account, processes photos on-device, carries no ads, has no chat or social features, and collects no analytics, no personal profile of any player — child or adult — is ever created.
Data retention and deletion
Your puzzles, progress, and imported images live on your device. You can delete an individual puzzle within the app, or remove all app data by deleting Pentire from your device — because nothing is stored on a server of ours, deleting the app is a complete deletion. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained under their own policies; those records are what make "Restore Purchases" work.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because Pentire holds essentially no personal data tied to your identity, most requests can be satisfied simply by deleting the app. For any privacy request, contact us at [email protected].
Changes to this policy
Pentire is actively developed, and this policy describes the app as it currently ships. We may update it from time to time — for example if we add a feature that needs the network, or optional diagnostics to help us fix bugs.
When we make a material change to what Pentire collects, we will:
- update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and describe the change here;
- update Pentire's App Store privacy labels before the version that makes the change is released, so the App Store listing and this page always agree;
- notify you in the app where the change is significant, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Two things we do not intend to change: your photos are processed on-device and are not uploaded to us, and we do not sell your personal information.
