To turn a pet photo into a puzzle, you need an app that converts the image into placeable pieces. How to make a pet photo puzzle

  1. Pick your best pet photo. Open Pentire's Create tab, choose From a Photo, and select the picture — or use the camera to catch them in the act.
  2. Choose an art style. Real photo keeps every whisker. Cartoon gives your pet bold, playful outlines. Pastel softens everything into calm tones, and flat becomes a clean paint-by-number look.
  3. Pick difficulty and piece shape. From 12 big stickers (great for kids who love the family dog) up to a 220-piece expert cut, in natural, polygon, square, or classic jigsaw-style pieces. A live preview shows exactly how the photo will be cut.

Tips for a great pet puzzle

  • Get close. Crop so your pet fills most of the frame; a tight face crop makes a wonderful portrait puzzle.
  • Chase the light. Bright, even lighting gives the cut clean, colorful pieces. Sunbeam cats were made for this.
  • Contrast helps. A dark pet on a light couch (or the reverse) produces crisper piece edges than fur that blends into the background.
  • Start at Medium. Sixty-ish pieces is the sweet spot for a first build; go Hard or Expert when you want a long, meditative session with a favorite photo.
